What We Believe

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

St Peter & St Paul's is a community that believes the Good News of Jesus Christ: that God loves us so much that he gave his Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that in Jesus Christ's sacrificial death our sins are forgiven, that in Jesus' glorious resurrection we find the promise of eternal life with God, that the Holy Spirit now makes his home in the Church leading us to become more and more like Jesus, and that this story of salvation becomes our own by grace through faith.

We believe that God continues to call all people to receive his Good News of salvation, and we believe that God is doing amazing things in our city and in our parish. The lost are being found, the broken are being healed, and in all this we see the reality that God is putting the world to rights. Fully relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, St Peter & St Paul is committed to discipling a people to bless the world.
