This needed conversation, held in a safe environment, and utilizing internationally recognized speakers, seeks to address the question of restoring sexual wholeness. Topics include creation and fall, sexual identity, sexual medical ethics, and healing of memories.

Keynote Speaker: The Rev Dr Dawn McDonald, Zacchaeus Fellowship

DawnPagePicBorn in Victoria, BC, and raised in Japan by missionary parents, Dr McDonald has been an ordained Anglican priest for 12 years in Canada. She works now as a vicar in a mission church in the Diocese of Central Florida, and resides in Sanford, Florida with her husband. She holds Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity degrees from the College of Emmanuel and St. Chad (Saskatoon) and a Doctor of Ministry degree in the area of Pastoral Counseling from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana. McDonald is a Certified Pastoral Sexual Addiction Specialist with the American Association of Certified Christian Sexual Addiction Specialists, and is also a trained leader for Living Waters Canada programs. McDonald is a member of NARTH (National Association of Research and Therapy of Homosexuality), and a founding member and chair of The Zacchaeus Fellowship (, a group of men and women who hold to the church’s historic view on sexuality in the face of former or present struggles with same-sex attractions. As an openly ex-gay Anglican priest who was active in the lesbian lifestyle (and partnered) for over 13 years and then experienced the transforming power of Christ, McDonald has spoken at numerous conferences and events. McDonald has spoken to and ministered to hundreds of same-sex attracted individuals. She has also co-authored Taking Love Seriously, an Anglican Agenda Series booklet whose series editor is J.I. Packer.

Dr John Patrick

JohnPatrickPagePicPresident of Augustine College and professor of Science, Medicine, and Faith, he holds M.B., B.S., M.R.C.P. and M.D. degrees from the University of London and St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London. He has done extensive research into the treatment of childhood nutritional deficiency and related diseases, holding appointments in Britain, the West Indies, and Canada. In 2002 he retired from his position as Associate Professor, Clinical Nutrition, Departments of Biochemistry and Pediatrics, at the University of Ottawa and now lectures widely at universities in Britain, North America, the former Soviet Union, and Africa, working with various international agencies and with the Christian Medical and Dental Society.

The Rev Paul Donison

PDonisonPagePicAppointed to St Peter & St Paul’s in 2009 as Associate Priest for Discipleship, in June 2012 was appointed as Rector. Before coming here he served as Rector of parishes in Northern BC, New Brunswick, and Ontario. Paul received his master’s degree at Regent College, Vancouver, BC, and is currently working towards his doctorate at Trinity School for Ministry, Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Prior to ordination Paul made his living as a stage actor and theatre instructor, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria, BC. Paul enjoys nothing more, vocationally, than than teaching and preaching Holy Scripture and leading a parish. Paul is married to Monika, and they have four beautiful daughters.
