How to Donate
"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
Tithes & Offerings (General Donations)
There are numerous ways to give an offering at St Peter and St Paul's. People wanting to give donations can do so through envelopes on Sundays (weekly or monthly), through automatic Debit withdrawal or online via Canada Helps, click here.
At our 10:30am Sunday service an offering box is placed at the back of the church in which can be placed tithes, offerings, and special gifts.
For automatic Debit withdrawal, which occurs on the 15th of each month, please print and fill-in this form and send it to the church office in whatever way is easiest for you. If you would like weekly or monthly envelopes or require other information, please contact the church office.
Each Spring, on or near to the Feast of Pentecost, we hold a FirstFruits Sunday where our members and supports are encouraged to prayerfully give a special offering over and above their regular tithes and offerings. We used to call this "Gift Sunday." Leviticus 23:9-14 institutes the FirstFruits offering, where the first (and best) of the produce is given back to the Lord. We say "given back" because all that we have has been given to us us by our gracious, all-sufficient God (1Chronicles 29:14; James 1:17). Firstfruits is a once a year offering, but just like tithing (where we pay a tenth of our income to God), it is an act of discipleship that reminds us of God's provision, and declares our thankfulness to him.
We don't hold fundraising bazaars or bake sales at St Peter & St Paul's, but rather believe that the Lord will sufficiently provide us with our ministry support needs through the tithes and special offerings of our parishioners. This is an opportunity to bring a special offering into the parish. I ask you to prayerfully consider what the Lord is putting on your heart to give as a thanks offering.
