"For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." 1 Corinthians 11:26
Holy Communion is a feast for the baptized where we receive, by faith, "the spiritual food of the most precious Body and Blood of [God's] Son our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Book of Common Prayer). Traditionally, those who are baptized are welcomed to receive communion after their Confirmation, but we also believe that children who are baptized into the New Covenant are welcome at the Lord's Table after adequate instruction.
When a baptized child is in Grade 2 or older, they are invited to take our annual "First Communion" classes in preparation for their own First Communion. Classes are also offered to adults who have never taken communion before.
