At St Peter & St Paul's we are committed to discipling a people to bless the world. It is the same ancient call that the Lord gave Abraham (Genesis 12:3) and that Jesus now makes possible in the lives of his followers through the Cross and his indwelling Holy Spirit. But ‘discipling’ is an active word, a word that means seeking to follow after Jesus. Following Jesus is a gift, but it also requires intentionality in daily commitment. These courses have been designed “to equip the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:12) and I pray you will seriously consider joining us for some or all of these wonderful opportunities. Allow me to encourage you with these words from Dallas Willard from his book The Great Omission.
“In the heart of the disciple there is a desire and a decision or settled intent… the disciple is one who, intent upon becoming Christ-like and so dwelling in his faith and practice, systematically and progressively rearranges his affairs to that end.”
