A letter from our Rector-Appointed, Canon Brent Stiller

A Letter from Canon Brent StillerBrentStiller

Dear sisters and brothers of St. Peter and St. Paul’s,

I cannot tell you how pleased and humbled I am by the appointment to be rector of St. Peter and St. Paul’s. I’ve come to know you best so far by your reputation as the generously hospitable host of synods, and a courageous and faithful congregation who loves God and their city. Your search committee and wardens, Emily Banzet and Jim Dam, represented you well, sharing with me your passion to be the body of Christ in your downtown community.

If there is one major theme I have seen emerge in ministry over the years, it is when the Church of Christ relies on the Holy Spirit, God’s people can do amazing Kingdom work.

I am so looking forward to joining you in mission and ministry, and together serving our Lord and the people around us, including each other!

As our family begins the somewhat painful process of sifting through our home to lighten the load for a move and as we say goodbye to dear friends, we are also filled with a sense of certainty, joy and anticipation about creating a home in beautiful Ottawa, and saying hello to you, our new friends and Christian family.

Thank you, friends.

In Christ
Brent Stiller+
